Details: The yarn was Soy Naturals from Bernat; a soy/acrylic blend on size 4 and 6 US needles. The color is Seasalt, a very light blue clor. I added a single crochet border to the neck line to tighten it up a bit. The yarn can be a little slipper/splitty but other than that it was a pleasure to knit with.

Also on the needles is the Brea Bag.

I've never done a Norah Gaughan pattern before and this is going a bit slow for me. I'm using Red Heart Soft yarn in Cherry Red on size US9 needles. I don't know why it's going so slow, it just is. Hopefully I'll be done with it in the next few days.

Also on the needles is this...

the Odessa hat. You can find it on ravelry. I'm knitting it on us US6 needles with Debbie Bliss cashmere/cotton blend. 85% cotton and 15% cashmere. It's soft and shows stitch definition well. This is a beaded, fitted cap that I'm actually knitting without the beads. Lot's of these have been knit on Ravelry, too. I'm surprised I never saw this pattern b4 b/c I love fitted caps like these. I've made and bought lots of them. More pics to come soon.

Also on the needles is still the Cherry Bomb tank. I've stalled on this tank b/c I know the weather is changing and I wont be able to wear it b4 next summer. The other one I knit is out of an alpaca/wool blend (yea I know...a wool tank top?!) and I wear as a vest in the winter over a shirt. I think I'll do that with this one too at least until it's warm again.

Question of the Week #12

What is your proudest knitting moment??

When I finished my Clapotis. I had started it b4, but never got past the 1st section. I thought it was too hard for me to do. But since the Ravelmpics, I've tried tackeling some new things.

What is that one project that you’ve never been able to complete?

I still haven't done any intarisa or Fair Isle but I'm hoping that will all change soon.

Question of the Week....

QotW #9 Have you ever entered your knitting (or anything else) in the fair? Nope. Would you ever consider it? I would if the chance came up.

QotW #10
What Olympic event would best describe you knitting/knitting style?

Maybe the decathalon, I'm always knitting 2-3 things @ a time.

QofW #11 What is the best thing you've ever received in the mail/post?

I got a box of Hello Kitty swag not too long ago from my SP that I am still completly in love with.

I finished the Clap in 10 days (!!!) with plenty of time to spare. I ended up using 2.5 skeins of the Rosewood. I haven't blocked it yet b/c in order to block it I need to clean off the dining room table. LOL

The Clap sure is sticky...

It is day 4 of me knitting the Clapotis and I've already begun dropping the stitches.
The yarn I picked is Paton's Classic Merino in the color "Rosewood" on US 8's. The only issue I have with this yarn is that it's a little sticky. The dropped stitches don't really want to unravel; they need a little help going down. And I know I'm so late with this but this pattern is genius! I love the construction and I can see already how beautiful this wrap/scarf is going to be. I don't know why I didn't knit this before. Now I see why some people have knit 2-3 of these wraps. It's addicting!
