CPH Update

Okay. Seriously. I STILL working on the CPH. BUT, my blog-reading friends, I can see the end in sight. I'm just about done with the second sleeve. All I need is a button band and a hood and I'm good to go. I decided that instead of trying to block everything @ one time, I'm blocking as I go. So right now I'm blocking the first sleeve. For one, I needed to strech it to make sure it would fit and second I hardly ever block so I thought if I want the CPH to come out nicely, I'd better do everything I'm supposed to. That included the swatch, which I really did knit! (LOL @ myself)

cph sleeve

Right now the sleeve is on my dining room table drying all nice and pinned out. What ya think?

I'm also still working on Nob Hill. After having "talked" to the designer and others on Ravelry about the sleeves I decided to rip out the sleeve I had done and do them both in seed stitch to match the collar. Now all I need to do is finish the collar and sew the button on, etc. Wish me luck!

Projects, Projects, Projects

I'm still working on the Central Park Hoodie; I've got a sleeve, the hood and the button band to go. I've just set it aside for a while b/c I'm afraid by the time I get done knitting it; it will be too warm to wear it. Cest la vie I guess. It's a little hard to knit with 100% wool when it's 65-70 degrees outside. And not a moment too soon! I'm been knitting little small things just to break up the everyday things. I need a sleeve and a collar on Nob Hill (which may also be too warm to wear in awhile) as seen here....

I'm also knitting a Ballband Dishcloth as seen in the Mason-Dixon Knitting book. Here is a pic of it just starting out...

I'm using Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick in the color Cranberry. I'm going to use Ebony for a contrast color on the sleeves and collar. Check out the pattern @

I'm still working on the Central Park Hoodie. Here is a pic of the right front panel; the back and left front panel are done. I'm sure I'll finish the right front by the end of the week. It's actually coming along quite well I think. The only thing I'm scared of the long ass one-piece button band( with hundreds of stitches).

Another small project finished; a basic washcloth. I used some random Peaches and Creme 100% cotton. We have lots of these washclothes in our house. It's the ultimate in mindless knitting, I usually can finish one during a movie. I did this one watching The Mist.

I've been working on the railroad...all the live long dayyyy.....

I've been knitting a few interesting things in the last week or so. The Jaywalkers are shown here. I know, I'm late. So sue me...I didn't know how easy they are to knit. The Thrifty Knitters Sock Club on Ravelry decided to make Jaywalkers the sock of the month for March. I wonder if I'll get in trouble for not finishing (at least not yet) the socks for Feb; the Bellatrix socks?

frontpanel

I'm on the left front panel of the Central Park Hoodie. This sweater is just zooming along now; its pretty mindless knitting with a surprise thrown in so as not to let the knitter fall asleep while knitting it.

toeup

The Bellatrix socks refuse to be finished. I think it's because I refuse to knit on them but barely. It's my sitting @ the computer knitting. Hence, the pic in the dirty computer room. While waiting on a page to load up, I knit a row or 2. A row or 2 a day will not allow these socks to be finished. LOL

Knitting my life away....

I joined ANOTHER swap over on Ravelry. I'm starting to think I have a issue with swap and not being able to NOT join them. This swap is called the Going Green swap and what you do is, knit your partner one of those eco-friendly shopping bags and then send it to them. I signed up to knit two; this is a pic of the second one. The first is shown in the previous post. I also finished another pair of the Bunny Puke socks; this time these are for me!

I'm still working on the Belletrix socks; I've finished the first and now I've set them aside. I need to hurry and cast-on for the second sock before I end up with Second Sock Syndrome!

Ahhh the Finished Object....

Aija's Hannah Montana blanket is done....finally. (This blanket was a Christmas gift.) I think it came out rather well seeings how I had to hand stitch a few parts of it because I still have NOT mastered using a sewing machine.

I also finished the Big Bad Baby Blanket as seen in the original Stitch N' Bitch book. I liked how the blanket knit up. I used Lion Brand Pound of Love Color: Denim. The only part that worked my nerves was the last 20 rows of seed stitch; it drove me crazy because I knew I was so close to the end! This blanket is headed to Oklahoma City for my brother's new baby.

Next up in the FO Parade is a cotton bag knit out of Peaches and Cream Cotton, Color; Patio Pink and White for a bag swap over on Ravelry. I used grosgrain ribbons for the handles because I just couldn't bear to knit i-cord handles.
