QotW #9 Have you ever entered your knitting (or anything else) in the fair? Nope. Would you ever consider it? I would if the chance came up.
QotW #10
What Olympic event would best describe you knitting/knitting style?
Maybe the decathalon, I'm always knitting 2-3 things @ a time.
QofW #11 What is the best thing you've ever received in the mail/post?
I got a box of Hello Kitty swag not too long ago from my SP that I am still completly in love with.
A woman who explores knitting/crochet, cooking/baking, sewing and various other crafts and makes ALOT of mistakes along the way.

Finished Clapotis!
Here is a pic of the finished but yet unblocked clapotis.
I finished the Clap in 10 days (!!!) with plenty of time to spare. I ended up using 2.5 skeins of the Rosewood. I haven't blocked it yet b/c in order to block it I need to clean off the dining room table. LOL

The Clap sure is sticky...
Day 4 of Clapotis Knitting....
It is day 4 of me knitting the Clapotis and I've already begun dropping the stitches.
The yarn I picked is Paton's Classic Merino in the color "Rosewood" on US 8's. The only issue I have with this yarn is that it's a little sticky. The dropped stitches don't really want to unravel; they need a little help going down. And I know I'm so late with this but this pattern is genius! I love the construction and I can see already how beautiful this wrap/scarf is going to be. I don't know why I didn't knit this before. Now I see why some people have knit 2-3 of these wraps. It's addicting!

My Fellow Knitters....
Did you sign on to do a knitting project during Ravelympics? I decided to try a pattern I thought I could actually finish in 17 days (the length of the Olympics); Clapotis! If you've never heard of this pattern, what rock have you been living under? This pattern is in the Fall 2004 issue of Knitty.com I started this morning @ around 12 noon. Your suppoed to cast-on during the opening cerimonies which for me on the East Coast was @ 8am this morning. And of course in true Sinn fashion, I overslept and didnt get around to casting on until 12 noon. So I'm behind by a few hours but I've more than made up for it by knitting on this thing non-stop all day today. I've got the second section of the pattern just about done. Pics to come soon.
I'd like to call this Day 1 of Clap Knitting.
I also finished the front of the Cherry Bomb tank.
I've put it down for a little while; I'm trying to meet the finish line with the Clap. Wish me luck!

Question of the week #8
What is your favorite supper for a hot summer evening?
I like to cook marinated chicken breasts on my george forman grill (I'm so lazy/lame LOL) and put them on top of greens. Instant grilled chicken salad! Yum-o!
