I worked on my daughters Hannah Montana blanket from Christmas yesterday evening. The instructions are pretty simple; you cut the edges of the blanket into little stripes and then tie these stripes together for fringe. I didn't like how that looked so I did a simple zigzag stitch all the way around.
I also picked up some very pretty Easter/Springtime colored sock yarn from the Cultured Purl. It's Yellowstone by Lorna's Laces.
And speaking of Cultured Purl, my sweetie gave me a $100 gift cert to the Cultured Purl for V-Day and a box of chocolate covered strawberries! Isn't that the best gift EVER!!!???
On another note....I went shopping for my 6 year old and this is what I found in the little girls panty aisle.
Little girls hipster panties, bikini's and thongs. For 6 year olds?! I'm sorry, did I accidently step into the Lil Miss Hooker section of K-Mart??!!!

i can't agree more on the issue of little girls fashion. the simpsons did an episode about that a while back too, now its spreading to the underwear. its ultimately up to parents or adults and until they stop buying these lolita clothes we won't see an end to the trend. so sad that there is a market for it.
