Updates!

So I'm not blogging as much as I used to but I do hope to do more in this new year. Here's what I've been up to....

A little yarn bombing (with the help of the GF and the bestie!)

This is outside of our local library....

STILL trying to finish my Sidesplitter skirt. I WAYYYYY overshot the straight section and didn't realize until I was halfway thru the decrease section. And I was NOT ripping back. This damned skirt's been on the needles almost a year now because of one thing or another. So. I thought...what if I steeked it??? AND I DID!!!

First I wrapped it around myself and measured/pinned where I wanted it to end. Then I single crocheted a line of stitches.

On either side of the crocheted line....I took the skirt to the sewing machine and did a line of zigzag stiches.

Then....it was time to CUT!

This baby helped!

Afterwards, I picked up stitches on the side I wanted to be the waist, and am currently knitting the slowest 2X2 rib known to mankind. Le sigh....
